Adam Driver’s Story:
Raised in Minden, Nebraska, Adam Driver enjoys all that the area has to offer. He is committed to the landscape’s natural beauty, and the wildlife it supports.
Growing up, Adam played a variety of sports, lettering in baseball, football, track, and basketball. He attended Hastings College in Hastings, NE where he was a pole vaulter and national qualifier. His personal record was 16 feet. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Additionally, Adam was an assistant coach at Hastings College for 10 years as the jumps coach, pole vault, triple jump, and long jump. Currently, he is an assistant track coach at Kearney Catholic High School in Kearney, NE and does private pole vault coaching on the side.
After college, Adam began working for the Crane Trust, in Wood River, NE. The Crane Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of the Platte River habitat for migrating cranes and other wildlife. In 2014, Adam was assisting with building a bison corral on the preserve. Him and another coworker were setting corner posts with a payloader full of dirt. During this process, the equipment malfunctioned. The bucket of the payloader detached and ended up landing on top of Adam, trapping and crushing him with dirt, leaving Adam severely injured and paralyzed. Adam was then taken via ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE and underwent 9 hours of surgery. He suffered a T12/L1 burst fracture of his spine and had 9 vertebrae fused together. Five days post-op, Adam was then transferred via a private jet to Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO for a 2-month journey of intensive recovery.
Adam is grateful to Craig Hospital in Denver for providing him with exceptional care after surgery for his neurorehabilitation.
In 2020, Adam took on more work by building his own accessible house located on 130 acres. His family enjoys hunting deer and turkeys on the premises as well as working on food plots and modifying habitat. The property is littered with trail cams to hopefully catch the big buck!
Adam doesn’t let his injury slow him down. He mows his own lawn, uses a small tractor to push snow and make food plots, and navigates his property riding a 4-wheeler and an accessible track chair! All in all, he has found a way to beat the odds and keep doing what he loves and moving forward!
He is so very grateful for the opportunity to participate in the 2025 hunt and cannot believe it is real. Adam hasn’t spent much time out West, and this will be his first Nevada hunt. Adam is looking forward to meeting new people, the experiences it will bring, seeing new country, and doing something unique.
“You have to make the best of it. Don’t hold yourself back,” he stated.

Dewey Skidmore’s Story:
Dewey Skidmore hails from Greenville, Georgia. He moved there about 30 years ago with Tammy, his wife. They have two grown children, Josh and Katie, and one beautiful granddaughter, Joey Grace.
Christmas of 2003, Dewey was driving home from his mother-in-law’s in his 4 X 4. Admittedly driving too fast, he rolled his truck, and ended up crushing his C3, C5 and C6 vertebrae. It was a long recovery at the hospital, but he was finally released at Easter time. Dewey had to work through what had happened, and realized that things were not necessarily about him, but rather his family. In 2006, he found God. Dewey served for six years as Music Pastor at Rehoboth Baptist Church before moving on to a new community to spread the gospel. Now, he and his family are active members of the Change Church. Here, Dewey has been a Music Pastor for over eight years.
Tammy serves as a Youth Director and teaches Sunday School. “Tammy is a blessing,” he said. “She has been the rock in our relationship standing by me after all the tragedy and hardships we faced. Without her, I don’t know where my life would’ve went after my accident.” Tammy was Dewey’s high school crush. They dated for two years before they were married.
Outside of church, Dewey is a doting grandparent and a slow pitch softball coach for his daughter’s team. Dewey is passionate about Jesus, sharing his love with others, and hunting turkeys. He is looking forward to coming to Nevada for a good time in the refreshing outdoors, enjoying different scenery, and the opportunity to meet new people. August will be an exciting time for Dewey and Tammy, not only will it be their first trip to the Silver State, but they will also be celebrating their 28th wedding anniversary.

Interesting Fact: First Airplane Trip – NOW 2025 Hunt
Jeremy Snell’s Story:
Hunting was a way of life for Jeremy Snell growing up the small mining town in Eureka, Utah, with a population of 800 residents. Here, Jeremy had ample time to spend exploring the great outdoors where he developed a love of hunting, mostly mule deer, and basketball. After high school, he operated heavy equipment, and worked underground for a local mining company.
In 1997, Jeremy was trimming a tree for his grandfather when he fell 12 feet and landed awkwardly onto a boulder. The resulting injuries were a broken wrist, multiple ribs, a punctured lung and a fractured spine, requiring him to permanently utilize a wheelchair.
Not to be deterred by the event, Jeremy went on to attend Utah Valley University from 1998 to 2000 and receive a Bachelor of Science in Accounting on a fast track. After graduation, he started working part-time for Tintic School District and has been in his current position as Business Administrator since 2002. Concurrently, for the last three years, he has served as a Eureka City Councilmember, where he spends countless hours working to improve his small community.
In his rather sparse spare time, Jeremy enjoys coaching his kids’ basketball teams and cheering for the University of Utah football team. Previously, he helped coach the local high school boys’ basketball team for 10 years. Since his accident, Jeremy has been able to hunt mule deer, pronghorn, elk, and turkey which he largely accomplishes by himself or with his brother.
Jeremy has been marriedto his wife Emma for nearly 19 years. Together, they adopted two amazing children, Kendall and Gibson. When people stare at their blended family and his wheelchair, Jeremy reminds himself “to be nice, not judge, and treat people with compassion.”
While usually self-reliant, participating in the NOW 2025 Hunt feels right to Jeremy. The Hunt is a great fit for him. He feels this is a unique experience, and once in a life time opportunity. Jeremy has many fond childhood memories of hunting with his father before he passed away. It was a very special time, and this year’s hunt experience will allow Jeremy to build new memories with his wife and children during their great Nevada adventure together.
